These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I received an email from Paul the other day and the subject read ‘Refreshing’. One quick look at the picture in the email explained what he meant (see the 1st picture below).
Yep, that is one pretty jeep!
Using the keyword “Wailea” I started tracking down more pictures of it. It turns out Colin has a couple of them too, as does a friend of his. So, here are a few of this jeep that is still owned by the Wailea Hotel in Maui (boy, after today’s cold weather, Maui is sounding awfully nice!)

UPDATE: This wagon was listed for auction on ebay in 2011, but didn’t sell. The other day Buz spotted the forum where the builder documented how he constructed it. It’s worth a look. The wagon isn’t currently for sale. The forum starts at page 7 of 7 then goes to page 1 and then forward (some system glitch at car domain).
It looks like there’s been some very good work done on this.
“Beautiful, 1 of a kind, Custom Built, 1953 Willys Stretched Wagon. You’ll never see another like it! We started our project in January 2009 and finished in the summer of 2010. We stretched a 2 door 1953 Willys Wagon into this 4 door Stretched Wagon, only one known to exist!.
Our Wagon features:
– Cummins 4BTAA Turbo Diesel Engine. Engine direct from Cummins Central Power, Kansaa City (with warranty). Making 22-24 mpg!! (US gallons).
– 5-speed manual transmission (NV4500), with dual range upgear. 4 wheel drive system. Custom drive shaft, front & rear. “PosiLock” on front diff.
– Custom Radiator. “Spal” Electric fan.
– 4″ Aluminized Custom Exhaust.
– Custom Aluminum Fuel Tank, approx. 33 US gallons.
– Factory Dodge 3/4 ton brake set up. Front discs, Rear drum.
– Custom body – (stretched 40″),
– 1997 Dodge 3/4 ton 4×4 HD chassis.
– Custom bumpers. Custom side step running boards, with “Armor Liner”.
– Custom fenders. Widened front fenders 4 1/2″.
– Custom hitch and 7 wire plug-in with electric brake controller, to tow your toys!
– Custom interior, front bucket seats, rear 60/40 folds down, seat material super suede (used in aircraft). Oak floor slots with all stainless bolts. Currently seats 5 with 6+ ft behind back seat with plenty of room for luggage or more seats. 3 lights in the headliner (front, mid, rear).
– Custom sun visor, “Fulton” from the late 40’s early 50’s.
– Chrome mirrors.
– Tinted windows.
– Jerry gas can.
– Painted exterior eggshell Merlot, Interior Merlot (dash is gloss).
There is just too much to list, this is 1 of a kind!
This vehicle is 18 1/2 ft from front bumper to back of tow hitch, and it stands 6’11” tall.
We’ve been to numerous car shows and have won several trophies and plaques. The Wagon has also been featured in a Cummins Newsletter. No matter where you go in this, it draws looks and a crowd!

There are some minor issues that keep this from being a completed restoration, but this looks solid.
“1945 WWII Willys Jeep (MB) with .50 Cal Machine Gun
This is an authentic WWII U.S. Army 1945 Willys Jeep (MB) with a real M2 .50 Cal. ‘Ma Duce’ (non-firing) Machine Gun, both in great condition.
GUN:
The .50 Cal MG has all original gun parts except the left and right side panels. The gun can be made to fire propane but can NOT be made to fire live ammunition and therefore does not require any special permits.
The charging handle operates perfectly just like an original gun and will cycle ammunition. A belt of display ammo is included as is a WW2 .50 ammo box.
The mount is also an authentic military MG mount and is NOT a repop or home built mount.
Included is an authentic military canvas gun cover, NOT homemade or a repop and a .50 Cal Gun Crate built from original military specs to carry and store the gun when on the Jeep.
Please note that the gun will be sold with the Jeep and will NOT be sold separately under any circumstances or offers.
JEEP:
The Jeep runs like a champ and starts up every time.
The vehicle was restored by me a few years ago and has been used in a movie, TV program, parades and car shows.
The engine is war time engine with the correct T-84 transmission. It’s been converted to a 12 volt system but contains many 6 volt parts for appearances purposes.
Engine compartment contains all accurate parts as would appear on a 45 Willys such as fuel filter, fuel pump, air cleaner, oil can, horn, regulator box, lube chart and grease gun.
The ‘tub’, is also an original war time tub and is in great condition (NOT a repop). The frame is in good condition but has been repaired. A rebuilt war-time frame, primed and ready to install is available but is NOT included in the sale.
All US stars and markings are exact and accurate to 1945 WW2 Jeep of the ETO.
Canvas top, seats, windshield cover are all brand new from Beachwood Canvas.
Includes five original WW2 combat rims (not repop).
The Jeep is all there as it stands and does not need anything to make road and car show ready, but for those who would like to tinker on it there are few minor items that could be finished off.
The Jeep is currently registered and insured here in Nevada with a clear Nevada title. Out of state buyers are responsible for pickup, but transportation is available to some locations at an additional cost. Payment is to be in cash or certified bank check that would be cashed on delivery before the title is signed over.
No out of state or country ‘check scammers’ will even be considered.
Asking price for the Jeep with the gun as it stands is $12,500.00”
I *think* this has a rear PTO, too. It appears in good shape.

“The Willys Overland Jeepster is extremely rare and prized collectable. This is an older (15 year) restoration of an Arizona car and would rank about 6 to 7 on a 10 pt appraisal system. It has a Chevrolet 350/350 combo w/Mustang front end and disc brakes to make it a really good driver. Only 5500+ miles since restoration but it has been in locked dry storage for many, many years and that takes a toll. Vehicle is fully set-up to tow with a built-in tow bar and transmission drive shaft disconnect; you will also want to take note of the very unusual swing-away fat man style steering wheel which alone would fetch about $1000 due to condition and rarity. It is believed that fewer than 1600 Jeepsters remain in the world. This Jeepster is stored in Smith River, CA and is available for inspection by appointment. This looks good for the price. It also comes with paddle tires and rims. It does need the front brake lines finished and a new wiring kit.
