Jean-Sebastien forwarded a couple links for our Canadian Readers to enjoy.  I particularly love the trailer on this, though that Jeepster is gorgeous, too.

“I am selling this 1949 Willys Overland Jeepster Convertible .  It has a rebuilt 1964 Buick V6 and an Automatic Transmission.  I have 2 sets of tires.  True spoke western rims, and a matching trailer. Motor has approx. 5000 miles.  I have had it in a few parades.  Draws alot of attention if thats what your looking for.  Runs and drives really smooth.  Power steering, power brakes, have been added to this jeep.  The rear end is a ford 9 inch.   No oil leaks, or burning.  It has a new radiator.  I have removed the pin stripping in the pictures.  No rust of any kind.  No body filler of any kind.  This car is solid , solid solid.  You will not be disappointed is this Jeep.  I will assist in delivery of this jeep in any way I can.  I am located in Windsor Ontario just across from Detroit Michigan.  This Jeepster is titled a 1949 and some may say that it is a 1950.  The vin shows that it is a 49 but with all the dash and front end of a 50.  As far as I can tell the car was titled  in the 2nd half of that year,  Built in Ohio in 49 and exported to Canada the same year.  In the US it would of been titled a 1950.  If you require any other pics , let me know.  The car is in storage at the present time and I would need a day for fresh pics.  You can contact me at 519-978-3499 or email me at bdahmann@live.com.  Thanks for looking in and good luck.  I have a very reasonable reserve on this Jeep  . Here’s another one courtesy of Jean-Sebastien. Bids have reached $9100.  No offense to the seller, but I don’t quite understand why someone would modify a ’47 into a M-38 at such a detailed level as this has been done? But, hell, I’ve done plenty of things that didn’t make any sense!

“This is a Collectors 1947 Willys Jeep  CJ2A modified to m38 with a military green paint job that is a year old. The seats were done year ago in green canvas. Jeep has a new go devil four cylinder motor that is green to match paint and was installed about year ago. Jeep runs great and has been garaged every winter. It comes with the one year old green canvas top. New unidirectional 7.00-16 Tires and green rims, Paint and Interior are in Great Condition. Everything has been replaced and redone from Brakes, Paint, Interior, Exhaust. The 4×4 works great with the 3 speed T90 transmission. I can provide more pictures on request.”

The Jeep looks nice enough, but let me remind potential buyers that 1. VE day was in May of 1945 and VJ day was in August of 1945; 2. 1948 comes after 1945 (umm .. this is self-evident, yes?); and 3., by the transitive mathematical property, this jeep, contrary to the seller’s claim, could not have played a role in WWII because it ended in 1945 and the jeep was produced in 1948.

This looks like a M-38 to me, rather than a CJ-3A as indicated by the seller.  I wouldn’t mind seeing some more pics of this.

This M-606 includes a Navy ID Plate — very rare based on what I’ve seen.  The dashboard arrangement isn’t something I’ve seen. Get it while it lasts.

UPDATE:  Breatt reports this CJ-3B Sold.   I’ll keep this post around just to give people faith that there are still great deals out there!!

It was available for $1700.  It runs, it has on Overdrive, it is straight.  This won’t last the weekend.  It does have an L-head rather than an F-head though.  Kudos to Brett for spotting this one! If I had a trailer, I would have left tonight to go get this myself. Oh, this one’s painful ….
