UPDATE:  Price dropped to $6000

This is one of the better hard top restorations that I’ve seen.  Most people dump them.

“Have a 1948 Willys CJ 2-A in absolutely perfect condition Frame off restoration with a 198 Buick V-6 with warn overdrive that runs perfectly. All 12 volt with all new gauges that all work. All hat channels perfect as the rest of the tub. Really nice Sears aluminum top, insulated on the inside. Goes down the road like a dream and I drive it daily. Top speed 60 MPH with the overdrive. “This is a 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A; I purchased this jeep from an individual in 2003 and spent until 2006 restoring it; I stripped it down to the bare frame and started all over from the beginning; it has the original frame, but has been beefed up in the spots that were rusted; all new springs, shocks, brakes, brake cylinders, brake lines, master cylinder, rebuilt entire steering system, steering is nice and tight; original rims with new tires and a spare; front and rear axle are original, but completely rebuilt; engine has been completely overhauled and runs perfect; new exhaust system;  ….”

“Heres my 1948 CJ-2A for sale that I acquired in July of 1992. Now its 62 years old Its a 4 cyl L head as it should be  with original 3spd, and 4wd.Kept indoors before I had it and has been garaged the whole time I’ve owned it. Runs and drives.  Well – tight, not loose and rattly.  Here’s a list of facts and features: Jeep has a total of 8951 miles as of today. Originall speedometer. I aquired with 8602 miles. I never realized I only put 350 miles on in the last 17 years!!!!!!!….”
