“JEEP WILLYS CJ3 1960 REMONTER A NEUF. POUR COLLECTIONEUR. MOTEUR 450 MILLES.”
UPDATE: Was $2500. **Status Unknown**
It’s not totally stock, but it sure looks nice for the price.
“Titled as a 1947 CJ. Ford 4cyl motor and 4 speed manual transmission. Full aluminum Meyers top and doors. Bucket seats in front, rear jumpseat, rollbar, heater. Runs great, crack in windshield glass. Fuel pump is a little weak as it loses prime if not started for a few weeks. Fun vehicle. Take the top off and flip the windshield down in the summer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
This might clean up pretty well, but you’ll need another engine.
“A nice piece of Jeep history. The first Jeep to be sold to the public after WWII.
Very original flat fender 4×4 jeep, Clean title. Needs a replacement L 134 (go devil) engine block. The Body is in very good shape, all rust has been replaced with new metal. Restored in late 80s. Good seats, No top. Break system is good. Would make a great weekend driver or trail rig.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500
The body doesn’t look too bad, but the hood appears tweaked.
“It’s a 42 Willys Jeep with a 3.1 liter Buick V6 and it runs. Bill of sale only, no title.”
Here’s a great looking Jeepster.
“The car runs very well, and its easy to drive. The “3 on the tree” manual transmission shifts properly. Whether you’re heading to Margaritaville at 5 o’clock, or just out for a pleasure drive on a nice ragtop day, you’ll have no worries.
As far as condition, its good. The body is straight and the interior is in very, very good shape. The convertible top is also in very good shape, but it does not latch properly at the front. This isn’t ready to be a show car, but its a nice driver. We don’t know the actual mileage on the vehicle, but we’re betting its seen more smiles than miles.
It does have an AM/FM/Cassette radio, but the car doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles…oh wait…there IS a whistle: the “sexy girl” whistle sounds when you push a button on the dash.

(12/09/2008) I doubt there’s many MB parts left on this drag jeep.
“’42 Fiberglass Willys Flat Fender Sand Car, all Chromalloy frame and rollcage, Ford 9″ 5 on 5 1/2 40 spline axles, Willwood calipers and disc brakes on rear, 617 gear, adjustable QAR coil overshocks, 2-speed power glide magnum pro-grip shifter, Chrysler A-arm front end with coil over shocks, motor is Orange engine built 383 Chevy small block approx. 500 HP, AFR aluminum heads new 1150 Holley dominator carberator, gauges, front head lights, rear tail lights, new rear taunel cover, paint and body work is all 6 mos. old, 2 Kirkey driver and passenger seats, and much more.”
(06/17/2009) If you can easily fix the wiring, then this could be a very good price. There’s some good value in the parts. I’m not sure what’s on the hood.
“1946 Jeep Willys CJ2A
1996 Fuel injected chevy 4.3 V6 mated to a SM420 4 speed transmission (the one with the huge granny gear) and a Dana 20 T-case. Newish (less that 3K miles) 35” BFG Krawlers. Front and rear axles are Dana 44’s with 4.56 gears and detroit lockers. Front is disc and rear is drum. Fully hydro steering with doubled ended, dual action cylinder. Early bronco coil suspension adapted over in the front with leaf sprung rear.
Now the bad….Squirrels got into the engine compartment and ate through the Painless wiring harness. They pretty much chewed through the main trunk that goes back to the computer. Not impossible to fix but I don’t have the time nor the inclination.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3999
(12/04/09) “This jeep has been fun while we owned it but the kids are ready for something they can drive. 1947 camo. color Runs and drives fine.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $800
(04/26/2010) Dan spotted this Jeep, which appears to be a good price.
