Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I drove from Maine to NC for this GPW.$600.in gas,tolls,motels.It had a ton of bubba mods and the engine block was CJ2A with a Ford head.Has a pretty good tub,ect.Payed $1500.,which is about what it is worth.I won’t be traveling that far for a jeep for a while.Bob
I’ve thrown about a grand in parts at it this past week.My plan is that about a month or two from now I’ll have a decent reenactor jeep for myself or to sell. I’ll know better when the Visa statement arrives with those parts on it! Bob
