Robin just brought home a 1951 truck from Wyoming. Accompanying his new purchase is the plate shown below. Was this a plate used on exported trucks? Neither Robin nor I remember seeing a plate quite like this. My google searches yielded nothing.
If you can post the serial prefix of the truck I may be able to provide more info.
CJ 2a in our parts of the world have the same or similar plate behind the passenger seat riveted to the wheel housing. On that plate the patent for South Africa is listed.

That would make sense. So, I wonder how that plate ended up on a truck in the middle of Wyoming. It sounds like one piece of a mystery book 🙂
