Photo from Mrs. Brown Lovely Daughter Movie
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
From the movie Mrs. Brown, You’ve got a Lovely Daughter.
“Original 8×10-inch color movie still / mini lobby card was produced to promote the 1968 MGM Herman’s Hermits musical / comedy / rock ‘n roll / greyhound dog racing film, MRS. BROWN YOU’VE GOT A LOVELY DAUGHTER, which starred Peter Noone, Karl Green, Keith Hopwood, Derek Leckenby, Barry Whitwam, Stanley Holloway, Mona Washbourne, Lance Percival, Marjorie Rhodes, Sheila White, Sarah Caldwell, Hugh Futcher, Drewe Henley, Avis Bunnage and John Sharp. The film was directed by Saul Swimmer. This is an original movie item — NOT a copy or reproduction. The still was printed in Great Britain and it features lush coloring and beautiful lithography. Title information is printed in the lower border. The card — #3 of the set — features a great shot of Peter Noone and the greyhound dog in a vintage motorcycle and sidecar — with other members of Herman’s Hermits riding in a jeep nearby.”
New Mexico Postcard with a Flattie on eBay
Since we are in New Mexico for a few days, I thought a Postcard with an old flattie would be appropriate. Can’t really see much of the jeep though.
1975 Colorado Ice Racing Photo on eBay
Great vintage photo!
“FEB 1 1975, FEB 3 1975 ***** a Grip on Winter long, as on the Jeep at lower right, seem to work best on hard ice, according to Dean Buhler, a member of racing team at Neal’s Custom Paint & Body Shop in Loveland. A few drivers use chains, as at left, but chains ordinarily are no match for studs, Buhler said. Between 100 and 150 vehicles enter on Sunday, and go up to 50 miles an hour. Credit: Denver Post . Photo is 10” x 8” in size.”
1950 M-38 Jacksonville, FL **Status Unknown**
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was listed at $6000.
This includes a warn OD. It looks in good condition.
“Runs and drives fine. It’s 63 years old with original parts and still runs like a champ. These jeeps were used in the Korean War 61-63 years ago. They are 24v and were built to be fully submersible. The M38 is a beefier, military version of the CJ3A. There is a lot more to say about these jeeps but I’ll keep it short. It attracts a lot of attention. It was my daily driver for over a year before I wanted something a little more… luxurious. There is also nowhere to play with these off-road anymore so it just sits in the garage. This M38 is even more unique because it is all original, not some hobbled-together assembly of random jeep parts from different jeep models that happen to fit together like you typically see. It has an $800 Warn over-drive that can be engaged in any gear. Has new tires too. I have the real title and the matching, original data-plates are still there and readable. Come drive it I won’t entertain any other offers unless it is backed it up with a comparable example. Good luck finding one!

1948 CJ-2A Fresno, CA **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
It’s not often you see a three pronged plug outlet in a jeep’s engine compartment.
“Here is a very nicely set up classic Jeep. It has a smooth running Chevy throttle body fuel injected 305/350 V8 engine, with a five speed Borg-Warner manual gearbox; it also has power steering. The engine starts easily every time, and idles smoothly and sounds nice. The engine setup has its’ computer/diagnosis plug-in mounted under the dash. There is a idle/throttle control lever attached to the shifter and there is a sticker on the dash that says Warn “all range” Overdrive. The transmission bolts directly to the transfer case, so I’m assuming that it has a GM transfer case……possibly an older K-5 blazer. A note in the Jeep says it has a AMC 20-456G rear end, (other #s on the note say 41-9 F5G). It has a custom built radiator w/heavy duty aluminum shroud, dual exhausts with long tube headers (surprisingly quiet for such a basic/short exhaust system). The Jeep has Willwood front disc brakes with a manual proportioning/adjustment valve just by the drivers’ seat (see pic). The front axles have manual locking hubs, they say Superwinch.L”

(03/08/2013) Lights and Gauges do not work.
“1951 rust free m38 willys jeep. Runs, drives, stops. Has original 24v system. Engine was rebuilt a few years back and has less than 500 miles on rebuild. Has new fuel tank. Starter was rebuilt. Have receipts to back up work. Over $5000 invested in the work alone. Brakes work. Has clear title. Some of the bads: 60+ year old vehicle has some leaks but not to bad for this age. Lights do not work. Gauges do not work. Hi low shifter will pop into neutral under deceleration w/o bungee. This vehicle was owned by one person for over 30 years prior to me. I don’t want to sell but I need the funds right now. ”
