Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Agreed. It was relisted on ebay for $13,500, and the auction just closed with no sale. I wonder why.
I did email the place to inquire about the interior because the odd texture to the paint. They confirmed my suspicion that the entire interior of the tub has been Rhino Lined, which I think is awesome….just not $13.5K awesome.
Rhino lining, alternators and roll bars didn’t exist in 1954, the windshield frame should be black, the bottom of the body should be red & it has the wrong seat covers….
Dualmatic hubs, PTO, and that awesome front winch…. all cool.
Fix a few things, and $13,500 could be a great price for this Jeep. (I’m assuming it’s at least as nice as the pics make it look). A new JK starts at $28k+…. and nobody will see you. Drive one of these and you’re a rock star. 😉
