when you buy these photos on e-bay or other sources, do you have the copyrights. I wonder if you could collect these jeep photos and reproduce them on a CD or in a booklet?
The ability to use and reproduce the photos would depend on the individual photo/negative, who took it, and who is asserting their rights.
Apparently Corbis bought the rights to a variety of news wire photos, including ACME and UPI (http://www.loc.gov/rr/print/res/152_corb.html) so reproducing them in a book would require some investigation. I reproduce them here under the Fair Use clause.
