Here are two neat photos Charles sent yesterday.
This photo was taken in Curacao Bay in 1954 of a jeep that was pulled out of the sand or dirt:
Here’s a rather inexpensive ride-on toy.
“Vintage Structo Ride on Pressed Steel Jeep Ride on. $75.00. See pictures for condition. Cash and local pick up only. Sold as is where is. Call with questions or offers. Call 216-9seven0-42zero9.”

Not perfect, but may be a good entry GPW.
“945 WWII Jeep GPW
Almost all original 1945 Jeep GPW, this Jeep has all it’s extremely hard to find original drive train and it runs great and drives. The Jeep is in good shape for being 73 years old, I was in the process of restoring it to all original but the garage is getting too crowded with 6 Jeeps so I need to thin the herd out a little.
This Jeep is perfect for an all-out off the showroom floor restoration or the way I was going to do it where it is back to original but with some original patina so you’re not afraid to take it out and play with it.
It has a New reproduction fuel tank in it, New pinion seals, New paint, New hood blocks, New reproduction shipping plate, all New oil’s, New battery and New windshield catches.
It also has the original mounting in the floor/frame for the .30 cal machine gun mount.”
Looks like some value here.
“It ran the last time I drove it about 10 years ago. The motor is a Ford Mustang engine”
This might be worth a look.
“Very low miles. Very good condition. Garaged and auto repair shop owned
Lots of extras Tire chains, Soft Top, G.B., Towbar. GREAT FOR HUNTING!!!
Call for more info.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
This might be worth a look.
“1958 Jeep Willy-fair condition. 2000.00 OBO”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500
This is a mix of parts.
“Time to sell my beloved project “Hatari”, I just can’t work on her anymore. What you are looking at is registered as a 1946 Willy’s Jeep, it is an early flat fender MJ body on what appears to be a later model (longer) frame probably from a 1955-1965 CJ or MJ? I have upgraded the brakes to 11″ in the front and 10″ in the back, she runs and drives. Does she have rust, you might ask? YES! which is why she’s strategically surrounded by a ‘beautifully’ crafted aluminum diamond plate to hold her together. Is she beautiful you may ask? Absolutely! She is painted in an safari theme zebra camoflauge, but perhaps your idea of beauty is different than mine Does she still need some work? “Perhaps”
She runs and drives, I have a clear pink slip, but she is yet to be registered. Drivetrain is a 134 ‘F’ Head 4 cylinder motor and full four wheel drive is of course all operational, 3 speed manual transmission. Make an offer in cash $$ or perhaps we can negotiate a trade in part or full for either a twin axle trailer or a good pre-71 VW Standard Beetle.”
This is a project.
