Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. If you’re looking for one of these manuals, it would be impossible to find one at your local book store. However, networking with others in your field of interest work miracles. I found one of these for my M-677 through a connection I met at one of the FC Roundups. It was invaluable because I was trying to figure out the original wiring harness at the time.
That’s the reason it’s so important to attend Willys events when you can. Sometimes you have parts or information that can help others, too. Forums on the internet are excellent sources of information, but your adventure of owning a Willys is not complete without spending time face to face with other enthusiast. That’s the reason I recommend all FC owners to attend the Roundup in Phoenix, which is only two months away.
