Buying Tips
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Can’t make out the bumper, but it looks like an X number on there.
This was also released the day after ‘Jeep Day’ when the Jeep officially went on sale to the public.

Are those full floating rear axles, too? I guess that figures back in July 1945.

They would have to be. This must have been one of the first 100 or so CJ2As built.
