Buying Tips
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Those last few are not M38s – they must be a foreign armed force using a militarized CJ3A. Small gas filler, grab handles and top bow mounting like an MB, a opening vent windshield, no cowl battery cover and no headlight brush guards. I guess it could be a French licensed Willys jeep
Yes, you are correct Bill. The Belgian Army used CJ-3As.
yes these are pics from belgian army – after they used surplus wartime willys they ordered by mistake civilian jeeps – afterwards they were converted to military version with a 24 v system -drive myself with one of the last ones built 1952 -best greetz to all from belgium
