    Rims, engine, manifolds, oil bath air filter, front grill, left front hinged headlight bracket, right rear bumperette and maybe even the frame: there was definitely value still there. Glad someone got it… hopefully keep the good parts and not scrap it all for metal value.

    House fires are not funny. But I think maybe he should have advertised it better, similar to some of the jeeps listed here.

    “Extremely rare 1943 MB. Entire vehicle has been heat treated; stress relieved and normalized. Lost interest, needs finishing. Ran when last parked. Bring gas, carburetor, tires and battery and a pillow to sit on, and other stuff. Don’t waste my time with your stupid questions.”

    That jeep would make a good WW11 movie prop. There certainly was alot of heat involved, but some of the damage must have been from structure collapse.
