This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (07/14/2014) Has some updates. I can’t tell what type of front hubs this has.
“!947 Willy’s Jeep with overhead cam 4 cylinder engine. 15″ chrome wheels with 10 x 15 LT super stag Daytona tires with good tread. Also has a small electric 120 x2 winch on the front. Runs good. This would make a great off-road vehicle or hunting rig.”

This may be a good price.
“1958 cj5 from when they weren’t built out of plastic. New top, suspension, paint, Baja seats, tires, exhaust, stereo, and more. Runs like new with its u breakable military I-4 hurricane flathead and three speed tran. Used as a daily driver. Real head turner to the newer jeepers. Goes where they can’t . Spent $5900 to get her looking this nice. ”

The interior is pretty plush for a M-38A1.
“This military Willys needs an engine installed. It is wired for 12 volts. I have all the parts for the original F head engine (except the carburetor) that will go with it. The odometer reads 97333. I am not interested in parting it out. It had an F head installed, but it gave out, and I no longer have the interest or the health to replace it. The buyer could put in another F Head or sell the parts to help finance putting in a different engine such as a small block V-8 or a V-6.

(02/11/2015) There may be partly a MB or GPW. This has the aftermarket dash I’ve only seen on California jeeps.

(04/01/2014) Looks ready for the hills.
“this jeep is loaded with full roll cage, 8000lb. winch, posi in rear, locker’s in front, good tires/ super winch hubs. full top and bikini top, with doors, rear seat and belts. New 350 Chevy motor, less than 1,000 miles. R.V. cam, molley rings, double roller timing chain, hi vol. oil pump, hi vol. oil pan. Chevy truck, trans, 4 speed with granny low 1st gear. New front seats NO rust. trailer hitch. It loves to climb mountains.”
This 1947 ad from the Boise City News includes rare references to a “Jeep Van Truck” and a ” Jeep Canopy Truck”.
This May 18, 1959, article from the Sydney Morning Herald announced the assembly of Jeep Ambulances in Australia.
No jeeps here, but Ann and I found this 1906 film shot on Market Street in San Francisco hypnotic. Cars, trolleys, pedestrians, and horse-pulled wagons all compete for space. Shortly after this video the entire area burned from the Earthquake.
UPDATE: The XM-384 seems to be both a Mutt variant prototype along with the trailer. Leo found these photos that include the Mutt variant with its trailer. He found the photos on G503.
Steve spotted this unique trailer. According to the seller, this is a one-of-a-kind trailer. It was manufactured by Detroit Arsenal and built from aluminum.
