   The ol’ CJ2 is a memorial to my wife’s parents, Jack and Vy Wormington, and the many, many years they enjoyed jeeping in the Western US. Founding members of the Tierra del Sol 4WD club.

   There was no engine or transmission, no wheels… this is a static display, up on blocks. Really not much left. But we enjoy it every time we come and go from the ranch.

   Great memories.

   Marc’s from South Africa, so it may be a while before he visits 🙂

   My wife and I were planning a month-long trip through Texas. We were supposed to leave tomorrow (Saturday), but a family health issue forced us to cancel it for now.

   Thank you, Dave. Yeah, that would be quite a hike!

   TDS is still very much alive. “Our” generation is mostly gone now, but Bob and Denny Londo (also founding members) are still active – Denny is in his 90’s. We sent them a photo of the front of the ranch, along with a long-lost 18 minute DVD video we had converted from Super-8 film – found it in a box of my wife’s folks’ belongings. Fun to see the old gang. It was from about 1968, best we can figure.

   I guess Marc did not take the photo! Any idea who submitted it? I wonder if they live nearby.

   We are still driving our ’67 CJ5, has been in the family since ’69.
