We need some j-truck lovers to jump in here. I’ve never seen one of these before. Could it be homemade? Looks pretty solid…

Might be another “we don’t make those but if you really want one then ok” moments from jeep. Not to hard to figure out why we have a hard time figuring jeep things out 50 years later!

I would say a “custom” build.
    Different wheels front and back.
A true dual wheel truck would have the same wheels at both ends.

That doesn’t look like a factory J dually. We’d need to see the serial number to tell for sure, or some close ups of the frame and spring hangers. It doesn’t have the correct front axle with matching Budd style wheels, nor did they offer the dually with the fleetside bed (as far as I can tell). Looks to be a a regular old J3000 with a dually axle added. BTW, I’ve had 2 factory dually J-trucks at this point and am looking for another. Pics here – http://imgur.com/a/Aocpm

I vote homemade by a skillful person. Fenders are good but not how the factory would do it. I think someone did this to haul a camper which would explain the storage door on the bed with hardware store hinges. I can’t see the rear lugs good enough but factory jeep would be 6 lug.

Rustowner: Great pics! Thanks for sharing. The dually dump truck looks cool. And I see you have a rare Roof Palomino mower. No many of those around either.

I’m way late commenting due to flu but excellent series of pics documenting extreme Willys Disease. Thanks Rustowner.

    Peter,

Sorry to hear about your bout with flu! It has taken me several weeks to reduce my persistent hack to an occasional cough. Good luck!
