   the old ad at top is a flathead ford v8.

   I’m sure Paul used an old existing ad from the 40s and 50s and modified it. Lots of old Jeeps wound up with Flathead Ford V8s before the Chevy small blocks came along.

   Yep, I thought it was kind of a cool old ad, a quick photoshop adjustment of cars to jeeps, and another retro looking ad is born! And as a matter of fact, I still have a flathead Ford V-8 adapter plate hanging on the wall of the shop. Still a few of them out there on the road. When I started out back in the day, the V-8 of choice was the 289 Studebaker, bolted right up to a T-90

   I think it is a very cool ad.I have a 53 f350 with a flathead v-8 that I still use on occasion.I bartered rebuilding a c-6 for the truck some years ago.a friend of mine grew up with and has done a lot of work on the ford flatheads.
