(08/17/2016) This looks to be a good price. Benton City is only 15 minutes away from me.
“1947 CJ2A Runs, brakes are not functional, converted to 12V, electric fuel pump, Dualmatic hubs on front axle, high back bucket seats, large fuel tank behind seats. Body is rough, but solid. Clean title in hand. I have owned it for a year, have not worked on it so it is getting sold.”
Seller will take offers.
“”Barn Fresh” FC 170, overall looks to be complete and all stock minus the wheels & and sunroof addition. Could be a complete restoration or just a mechanical / cosmetic one. I just got it running and I’ll see if I can attach a video of the motor running – runs really good for having sat for a long time, I haven’t driven it as I have two wheels up on stands so the tires could go to the shop for rim cleaning and tubes. (have to email you engine video – cant upload)
In really good shape overall, has minor rust thru in the drivers inner floorboard – gas pedal area – lower cab corners appear to be pretty decent as do the door / window posts. One never know the extent of minor metal repairs until its all stripped but it all looks pretty decent and really straight. Bed frame’s in great shape(no boards on it), this would make a great restoration project I just dont have time for as I’m building a house currently. Windshield is perfect – rare and expensive! both driver and pass door glass need replacing, quarter and rear windows are fine. Seats complete (need upholstery).
what I’ve done:
plugs, points, condenser, cap, rotor, plug wires, tires w/tubes and carb rebuild. It needs a fuel pump and at a minimum the tank cleaned properly prior to attempting to fuel from there. All this got it running again pretty well.
I may post on ebay but only on here currently. As much as I’d like to take this on and do a complete makeover into something really cool I know I wont get to it for a very long time so better to let someone else have a go at it. Make me an offer if you think the ask price isn’t reasonable.
Thanks for looking, call for details – dont text inquiries please. Clear title”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800.
Sure looks in good shape.
“I have for sale this beautiful 1945 Willys MB Jeep Tub. Extremely solid with no rust out other than the front floor pan which has also been hacked, I believe a new floor would be the best option. Tools boxes are straight and solid, rear floor is solid, wheel wells are all solid.
Has numerous small dents and dings but nothing distracting. Original data plates are present and in very good condition, glove box is intact and straight. The rear appears to have a very thin skim coat of Bondo, there are no dents on the inside of the body. I also have registration papers from the previous owner and will provide a bill of sale, no title. I also have the frame which you can have if you want, it has been highly modified and altered. $1800 firm.”
Engine smokes.
“1946 Jeep Willey’s CJ2A, early civilian for sale. This Jeep has been converted to 12 Volts and is very rough around the edges but the engine and transmission work, run, and are original. Engine smokes and there is rust/rot on the floor pan. This is a perfect candidate for conversion/ restoration. Best offer will be accepted.”
This has a DJ-3A body on a CJ 4×4 chassis of some kind. It’s listed as a 1953, but DJ-3As weren’t made until 1956.
“This little Willys Jeep has a completely rebuilt drivetrain, motor, trans, and rearends. Has all new brakes and aluminum wheels with like new tires. Body is a 1953 DJ-3A, solid floors and good shape overall.
Runs and drives great, racing seats, gas tank and battery mounted in the back. Still needs gages wired and a roll bar and windshield, still a project. No title, but these have the screw on ID tags. Buy a non-running old rusted out Willys with a title and you’re done.
Looking to trade for a 3/4 ton or a one ton pickup, or another Jeep, or cash works, asking $2200, Trade $2500.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $450.
