Engine runs, but tank needs cleaning.

“This is not a j20 but a Jeep FC 170 cabover 3/4 ton pickup. Pretty much original, has an oversized fuel tank mounted in original location. The tank needs to be cleaned. Engine runs good from aux fuel source. odometer shows under 20,000 mi. Seats are at upholsterer to be covered in red fabric. Very little rust.
the pickup has not been driven in a long time, perhaps decades. No text or email, please , I cannot respond. ”

1942 GPW Fayetteville, AR **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.

Body’s been cut, but still some value here.

“1942 Military Jeep for sale. This vehicle doesn’t run but about a year ago we replaced the battery in it and it was clicking so I think it just needs a starter rebuild. I would have fixed this Jeep up myself but I have a truck project going on at the moment. The hole thing is there, transmition, motor, and all. Except for the glass. As you may know though that only includes the windshield. There are some small holes in the floor where I think someone tried to swap the tranny. They also welded a cow catcher grill to the front which could be easily removed with a cutting torch or smoothed down and painted if you wanted to keep it.

The body is in relatively good shape for its age other than the paneling over the back right fender seems to have been welded on aswell but nothing you couldn’t grind down. The seat frames are there but there are no cushions. Also, the previous owner cut a space in the back for a tailgate and they didn’t actually add one but it could be done and it would look really good. Like I said, I would have done these things already myself if it wasn’t for this other project I’m working on. There is no visible rust which is a miracle for this old of a vehicle. If you need something hauled these Jeeps were made to pull war planes so it’ll get the job done. I do need the money to help pay my way through mechanics school so the sooner this vehicle is gone, the better. It’s a solid vehicle and I truly believe it wild take surprisingly little to get it running. $2000 is firm but I will hear out any trades.”
