    Hey there, not to be rude but I believe this is an M38. The Willys and GPW 40’s jeeps did not have a tailgate in the body, and the headlights are smaller and recessed into the grill. To name a few differences. Still a very clean jeep though, good luck with your sale!

    It’s missing a number of M-38 things, including the battery box lid on the cowl, the hinged front grille, and the larger fuel inlet opening. It also has a 3A windshield rather than an M-38 one.

    What it does have is the full floating rear end. That’s the only piece I see which may be GPWish. What I think happened is that someone put a CJ-3A body onto a GPW frame. But, it could also be a CJ-3A with a full floater kit that for some reason is titled as a 1945 GPW.

    It will take an in-person inspection to get to the bottom of it.
