The February 1948 issue of Popular Science included a small blurb about this custom wood jeep out of Seattle built on a WW2 chassis.
This is a nice design, more “streamlined” than other wooden body Willys conversions. I wonder if it survived?
I can’t imagine it lasted long in the Western Washington climate. I’ve never seen one like that around here. I can try searching for Bruce N. Thompson and see if I can find a descendent in the area.
