I haven’t seen enough prototype jeep seats to know if these are original or not.

I haven’t been able to find any seats that look exactly like that.
Most of the prototype seats have a curled lip along the sides so they are less sharp, so I don’t think they are factory. I would think they are home made, but I can’t imagine someone would cut the backs off center unless there was a specific purpose. Perhaps they were constructed to replace a set of early seats?
