Some people on facebook said that it’s a post war winch since It has only three bolt.
I have done no research into this myself. But, my friend who sent the the ad on behalf of Prem and knows far more than I about WWII jeep stuff (and has restored numerous MBs, GPWs and even a few prototypes) wrote to me and said “there is some good discussion and debate that the link belt is indeed a WW2 winch and personally I think it is feasibly appropriate for a late war MB or of course a CJ.”
