This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Jeep FC150 Wide Track cab and chassis. This Jeep is complete minus bed, I think it had a utility bed on it before my purchase. This truck is in decent shape, for an old FC, and has a few rare parts on it. Door handles are in excellent condition, it has a sunvisor on it, spotlights on the pillars and fog lights cut into the front. There is a complete engine in it, condition is unknown. Great start to your next FC project. Please see my listings for other FC’s I have for sale. Moving and cannot take them with me.”

“Selling my 1957 Jeep FC150 narrow track. 4 cylinder hurricane engine, custom made wide wheels, complete truck. This would be a good start for a restoration process or parts truck. Engine is complete but not tried to start. Truck has rust in almost all of the usual places. Please come look and make me an offer as I am moving and cannot take it with me. I also have two other FC150’s and an FC170 listed for sale.”

“2 ea rare, hard to find, 10”W x 15”dia. Vintage Slots in 5on5.5 Ford Jeep lug bolt pattern.
Both are used in tarnished condition with some scratches & imperfections. Not in new perfect condition.
(But, these will polish & clean up well. 2 pictures show example of cleaned & polished matching rims which are not available)
Will meet at the local police station to view.”

Jennifer recently finished a book about a CJ-5 called “Of Metal and Earth”. She wrote me a short note announcing her book. “I am the co-owner of a 1964 CJ-5 and author of a new book titled Of Metal and Earth. The story follows a 1964 Jeep CJ-5 as it passes through seven owners on their way to restoration and redemption.” I ordered, but have not read the book yet. Currently, the online book is free for Kindle readers.
