1947 CJ-2A Sleepy Eye, MN **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2950.

This has a 1950 truck data plate for some reason (it’s listed in the ad as a 1950 Willys). It also has the smaller CJ-2A serial tag, which is how I dated it.

“1950 Willys Jeep CJ2a….Bought at auction this fall.Trailered home, drove a few miles and stored.Losing storage so it’s got to go.Many new parts installed. Not too rusty but dinged up.Comes with new rear floor pan and passenger outer skin….Clear title also…More pics available”

Cutlas Selective Drive Hubs Viroqua, MN **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Parts • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $100.

These 10-spline hubs were called the Cutlas Selective Drive Hubs. Some has the indent through the middle like this set, others did not.

cutlas-hubs9

“For sale is a set of vintage Cutlas 10 spline locking hubs for Willys Jeeps. These were removed from a 1951 M38 with 20,000 original miles. The hubs were added after its Military duty so they are very low mile and in fantastic condition inside and out. Photos were taken as they came off the M38, clean as can be inside. Only reason im parting with them is because I returned the hubs to Milspec/factory configuration.

Should fit DANA 25/27 Willys MB/GPW, CJ2A, CJ3A, M38, CJ3B as well as some Willys wagons.”

Worst parts of the frame are shown in the pictures. Comes with post-war running L-134 engine with new upper end gaskets and head studs. The T-90 I know nothing about except it came with another Jeep I bought. Seems to be complete with transfer case and emergency brake.

1944 Opinion Piece: A Future For The Jeep?

• CATEGORIES: Features This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Originally appearing in the Christian Science Monitor, this opinion piece was published in the Milford News, a newspaper out of Utah, on August 31, 1944. I think this piece is right on in terms of honestly evaluating consumer desires vs. the new jeep, hence part of the struggle Willys-Overland encountered at the turn of 1950.
