This Willys Audio-Visual Unit brochure is undated and lacks a form number. I’d guess this was published circa 1956.

June 1946 Article on the 30,000 Jeep Produced
This short article appeared in the June 24, 1946, issue of the Daily Times out of New Philadelphia, Ohio. I assume that the 30,000 production number relates to CJ-2As. Interestingly, 35% of jeeps were for ‘agricultural’ uses while 43% were heading to ‘industry’. The remaining 22% fell under the ‘miscellaneous’ category.
1955 M-38A1 with M40 106MM Rifle Purcellville, VA **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $60k.
This has been available for at least a few months. I wonder how many of these M-38A1s are left with a rifle?
“M38A1 With Mounted M40 106mm Recoilless Rife The M38A1 was the first vehicle to feature the round fender design that would later become the distinguishing body style of the CJ-5 (part of the Universal CJ series). Produced first in 1952, following the retirement of the M38 model, the M38-A1 was re-designed as an “stand-alone” improvement, featuring round front fenders, a contoured hood, a two-piece windshield, top mounted windshield wipers, and powered by the new “Hurricane” F-Head engine and Warner T90 transmission.

“A farmer purchased it from the Fort Irwin Army Logistics Base just outside Barstow California in 1966. We got it from him in 1996. It has been under a roof ever since.
The farmer put a Willys F head engine in it along with larger drum brakes. The hood was cut for the carburetor. Carburetor has been replaced so hood will clear when corrected. He also swapped out the windshield to a latter / taller version. An electric Ramsey winch was also installed by the farmer.
Very little rust in easy to get at area. Runs and drives nicely.
It is still available if you see this add. I won’t negotiate without you seeing it.
No, I don’t need help with selling it. Please email with your questions via c-list.”
