Our Jeep dealership were associate members of CA4WD, California Assocation of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs for many many years.
As such, we encouraged clubs to bring in one of their plaques and we would display them on one wall of our dealership parts department along with club contact info.
After Dad retired, these were all taken down and they were stored in boxes.
About 8-10 years ago, I contacted Cal 4 Wheel and told them I would like to doante them if they had a display area for them. After several emails, I sent them all to CA4WD.
I have often wondered what’s happened to them. Of course we had a Drifters.
Most of these early ones were enamel on metal and were quite heavy.
If the club knows about this, I’d think they would want them back. They were supposed to be returned upon termination of membership in club.
Jim, agreed. These items are intellectual property of the club and should be returned, especially given the club is still active.
That’s great you were able to find a good home for those items. Most of my club-related items are from expired PNW4WDA clubs. They’ll find a good museum-home at some point.
