   I happened to catch and old episode of FantomWorks on TV yesterday. The redid a M38 for a Vietnam veteran. The M38 was in fair to good shape with some mechanical issues. They charged him $7000 for materials, with a total bill of $22,000. In the end the veteran was happy, but wow! I should not have been surprised, excessively high restorations are common for that show.

      I imagine he got some kind of price break given his vehicle was featured on the show? Those could be artificially high prices designed for future customers?
