Bill shared this interesting story from Hemmings about a pre-war dual rear wheel semi-independent drive system that allowed for a relatively inexpensive way to modify consumer vehicles for wartime.

Since the active fighting portion of WW2 ended quickly for the Dutch they didn’t have much practical wartime testing of this system, I imagine. Perhaps in some German archive there’s some detailed reports on this captured equipment, if they had time to file them between retreating from the Russians and freezing to death.

i dont always pull a howitzer. but when i do i wear a sport coat and tie. interesting that while American isolationist thinking was saying not my problem, others were preparing for the clouds of war.
I didn’t realize until just now that the auto correct changed Trado to Trade in the header. It took me three tries just now to force the software to let me spell it as Trado. Gotta love tech …
