Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This 22 page brochure is something I found on a non-ebay auction. I had to buy it with some other stuff I already had, but I couldn’t pass up this rare (perhaps 1-of-a-kind) brochure. I hope it helps someone down the line.
This weekend is the Great Willys Picnic (in Kempton, PA) and Bantam Fest (in Butler, PA).
This tiny LRDG-styled lighter is something I’d been keeping an eye out for. It’s smaller than I expected, just slightly larger than a biz card (or in this case a Fred Smiley’s old club card, which is something that accompanied a different purchase). I forgot to take a photo of the bottom, but there’s no identifying information there.
These just sold on eBay for $9.99. This CJ-2A was equipped with a rear PTO.

Has PTO with lift and governor underneath the hood. All original gauges, seats, top bow brackets, paint, wheels and tires. Truly a special rare restoration project.”

“Selling my project Jeep CJ6. Has floor pan rust and tub rust. Windsheild frame, hood and tailgate are all rusted out. Engine has moisture in it. Have rough doors and roof pieces. No title or keys.
