1957 Jeep Willys CJ-5 $7,500 Tavares, FL
Mike sent this over a few days ago on email, he is selling a ’57 CJ-5 and it looks really legit. Nice patina. Looks like a good project.

1957 WIllys Jeep CJ5. One of my best barn finds. No rust thru anywhere – from Eastern Washington State where it rains 17 inches per year. This unrestored farm Jeep runs / drives / stops / idles. I just put a new carb on which works great. 68 years old OEM carb goes with sale for rebuild. Amazing Z tread OEM bias tires (5), split bench seat, and great patina. No low offers, if it doesn’t sell my grandkids will enjoy. Clear TITLE.

Living in Eastern Washington, I’ll back up the seller and confirm its pretty dry here. You don’t see much rust on vehicles.
Regarding this Jeep, I’ve seen far worse, even in “dry” Texas (especially in hunting Jeeps). In my limited experience, the inside and lip of the toolbox are pretty good indicators of overall rust condition.
everything is relative.
to clean this up a little and enjoy it the way it is would be fine. yes sir. to try and clean up the rust and such, your better off off buying one already cleaned up.
No big deal, but notice the tire tread design, these are directional tires, a least 2 of them are on backwards, understandable being that it’s so old.
Cool unmolested Jeep. Tires are junk… zero value. And it’s a CJ5 which commands less… not sure about the price.
It’s not Originally licensed in eastern Washington. The vintage Washington license plates are Skamania County which is just east of the city of Washougal. Still west of the Cascade Mountains. Still rainy here. When did it move eastward?
