1962 Willys Wagon
$4,000 St Louis, MO
INFORMATION FROM SELLER:
Ready to take on a classic? I’m selling my 1962 Willys Wagon project—perfect for someone with more grit than cash. Body’s got minimal rust (not a crumbling mess), and the frame’s rock-solid. Engine and drivetrain are in good shape, upgraded to a 12-volt system (no 6-volt headaches). Recent work includes a new distributor, cleaned cylinder head, new gaskets (including oil pan, exhaust, and head), and some other TLC. It’s not a total wreck, but it’s still a project—think late nights, welding lessons, and quality time with your toolbox.
Selling because life’s too busy, and I can’t give it the love it needs. This is your shot at a classic 4×4 restoration or a one-of-a-kind off-roader. Picture the stares at car shows or trails—once you get it running, of course. Tons of pics available to show what you’re diving into. Delivery’s negotiable, even cross-country. $4,000 or best offer, restored these go for way more. Serious buyers only—let’s talk!
Located in the St. Louis area.
Clean title in hand.
Serious inquiries only.

No expert here, but dat firewall don’t look right. Ain’t it s’posed ta be recessed fer a Tornado in ’62?

No this is a 226 Wagon. The steering is also eariler then the 230_OHC rigs. It was around May of ’62 the firewall would be recessed for a 230. There are some 226 rigs with the cross over and vacuum heater, but all of the 230’s had the cross over steering. I have not run across 226 with cross over steering, but never say never. This looks correct for a pre-May 62. Even ’61’s could be titled ’62’s
