First one I have seen on flat fender jeep, normally on M38A1. Possibly the owner found it surplus as part of a field modification kit for the recoilless gun.
Yes, Mark. part of the recoiless retrofit kit for the M38. I’ve seen these NOS surplus. A Novelty. No one wants them on their M38 and I’ve never seen an M38 at a show with the gun on it.
