INFORMATION FROM SELLER:
1948 CJ2A Lefty. Willys only made 9,708 Lefty model Jeeps! You’ll notice from the photos that the spare tire is on the left side with the bow brackets on the right. It seems it was to satisfy a state law about possibly hitting pedestrians? I haven’t exactly figured out all the logic behind it. I’m not certain how many Lefties are still on the road?
Anyway, this one runs and drives, everything works as intended. It’s almost 80 years old so it has a few leaks as to be expected! I’m not sure you can stop them with the old felt seals etc. I’m the second owner of this Jeep and have enjoyed it immensely. Only selling because I’d like to get something newer and don’t have room to store 2 Jeeps. I’d even be open to trading for a newer model Wrangler. 90’s-early 2000’s? Let me know what you have.
