Anyone know the history behind this? I can’t tell how big it is, but I’m guessing it’s pretty small.

Cal forwarded this running CJ-2A.
“1961 Willys Jeep FC-150 Forward Control four-wheel-drive pickup. Actual total mileage is unknown.
It starts and runs good, drives good and stops good.
The original pickup bed was rusted, so it was removed and a wood bed installed. Oak front bumper.
The bottom of the cab is very rusted, with several rust-through areas.
The engine is not the original F-head engine; it has been replaced with a flat-head Jeep engine.
However, included with the vehicle is another Willys Jeep F-head engine (not stuck, but needing overhauled),
and also many additional F-head engine parts (see photos).
Clear title. Not presently licensed for the road, just used around the farm.
Shop Manual and Owners Manual are also included.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Vehicle is located near Woodstock, Illinois. If you are in the area, you can come and see it and test drive it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500
(06/19/2013) Looks like a nicely modified jeep.
“Selling my 1948 CJ2a. This is not a project vehicle. Always garaged since I have owned the vehicle (10 years). Powered by a 283 with a Muncie 4 speed transmission. Has a rare overdrive gear for freeway. Transmission rebuilt a few years ago. Dana 44 rear axle with air locker (onboard air compressor). Custom cage, bumpers, diamond plating, and exhaust. Rhino lined interior. Fairly new tires and wheels (33’s). Have a newer softtop and doors that are included. Never put back on after new paint job. Has collector plate currently.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200
This is a mix of MB/GPW parts and CJ-2A.
“I have basically a complete 1946 CJ2A that is completely disassembled. I restored a 1943 GPW for a guy and have this parts Jeep leftover. Almost everything is there, but it is a major project or parts for your project. Have an Iowa title, but can not find a VIN on the frame. Usually not a problem with these older Jeeps.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $350.
There might be some parts value given the intact drive train.
“old willys jeep rough but has a lot of good parts. all original, motor trans and tcase are all still in tack! NO TITTLE!!!! parts or whole”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2800.
(05/16/2013) It’s a little beat up and doesn’t run.
“I bought this with the intention of restoring it, but I have to many projects and something needs to go,so this is it…..This is a rare 1942 Ford Script Jeep…Has the Ford Script on the back of the body…These are some of the ones that bring top dollar once restored….Still has the original Data Plates with serial number 14976 with a Delivery date of 4-8-1942…….I believe to have been overhauled by the Military back in the 1960’s……The body has had some modifications over the last 70 plus years, but the body is not a total loss,it will however require alot of panel replacment and or welding….Frame is in good shape no major damage or rust….Has a set of seat frames and the original windshield…..Engine does not run…I have an original GPW motor that I will exchange for the one that is installed in the Jeep now…..it will need a complete restoration, but it will be worth the investment….I have a clear Oklahoma Title……I am asking $2800.00 Dollars or make a fair offer.CASH ONLY”
UPDATE: Still Available.
