Mount and good alt,but need wired and diff fully.( I do not have the 6v charging system NON of it, all gone when I got it). flat head 4 run out good and sounds really really strong for Being this old I drive it bout a mile every couple months to keep all lose, I drove it last week!!! I dont wont to waste my time or yours goin over all pros/ cons as can see body not great but its their the windshield still folds up and down does have crack oil pressure and temp only things that work breaks r froze up and I have lights and switch I wont 700 obo for it but i know what the title with original motor worth by it self is worth. I got some miner parts for it but not much, extra carb and 12v headlights and wires switch all in a bag.them 2 flat tires will hold air but one is trashed tube is cut im bout to put a tire on it to move it. I keep the motor covered with a jeepsoft top window cause the valleys on top of block for spark plugs the seem in hood leaks so I keep the water out to help persevere it”

Joseph buys his first car, a 1951 Wagon

• CATEGORIES: Builds, Features, Willys Wagons This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Joseph might look pretty young to own his first vehicle, but after a trip to Moab with his dad Pete, who runs the OWF, to attend the 2012 Willys Overland Rally Joseph caught a bad case of the Willys sickness. As his father knows to well, there is no cure for this dreaded disease.  With Joseph’s fate sealed, he decided to buy a wagon with his own money that he could rebuild himself (with some help from dad).

The wagon needs plenty of work, so they located a good donor frame that’s already been modified and strengthened, saving them lots of time and work.  They have collected some ’76 Wagoneer axles, XJ rear and YJ front springs to fit the already modified frame.  They also have located a variety of additional parts to help round out Joseph’s project.

You can follow Joseph’s build here: http://oldwillysforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3549

Good luck Joseph!  I’m sure you’ll learn a lot 🙂

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3B This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Ok, it’s a stretch, in celebration of Thanksgiving I thought I’d post a few Turkey and jeep pics.

1. This CJ-3B was part of a 2008 parade in Turkey. You can see more vehicles here: http://www.military-vehicle-photos.com/picture/number9536.asp

2. Down at the Shonto Ranch in Kerrville, TX, you can shoot your own turkeys for Thanksgiving in a Zebra Jeep: http://www.shontohunting.com/content/zebra-jeep-camera-safari
