This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Battery is dead. Something custom is running out of the gas tank.
“1948 Willys with original 4 cyl. engine. Runs and is sometimes used for hunting. Not used enough to need to keep it. Needs some tlc but is is 64 years old. Charge the battery and drive. I’m handling this post for an older gentleman, so call and I will try to answer any questions.”

There is a problem with the tranny.
“I am selling a nice 1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep. The jeep is in good shape for its age, It’s had a hard top on it for years which I just took off as it was not in very good shape so there is no gone through rust that I can see in the floors. There is a little rust in the hat channels but not very much. The motor is an original early Flat head four cylinder and it starts right up and runs VERY good. Doesn’t seem to smoke and purrs like a kitten. I went out to start it today and it was about 30 degrees out and it fired right up and ran great… The transmission will shift into first and reverse but wont go in second or third for some reason. I have another complete transmission with transfer case that is in good shape that I will give the new owner, and it shifts through all the gears. I have new hubs for the jeep and its also the original 6v electrical system!! Sold as is, I have a clear Colorado title for the jeep. Its located in Crawford Colorado but I can ship to Colorado springs or if you are somewhere close to Colorado. If you have any questions please call me at (970-210-0680)”

This looks very good for the price.
“The dashboard is in great condition with no cuts or holes made to it. It has a Buick V6. The glass is ok, one of the windshields has a split and one of the wing widows has a crack. All other glass is good. Has original working heater.Tires are good. Has a few small dents/dings but no major damage or rust. (Keep in mind it’s 58 years old!) Has collector plates.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** $150 … note the piece across the front of the rear wheel wells. I’ve seen similar installs on other jeeps. Unclear if this was an aftermarket piece or not.

“1964 Willys Jeep DJ3A. This is a hard to find 2 wheel drive jeep. It is in great shape. New brakes , tires and exhaust. Has a toyota engine and 4 speed transmission. This is a rare flat fender Jeep. One of the last ones built with the old body style. Runs well .and drives great. Body is in good shape.”
