Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The body on the Jeep is totally solid and rust free. I have inspected the body and can not find any obvious rust or repair patches whatsoever. The Jeep has lived its life in dry Arizona and Colorado and has always been well cared for. The paint on the Jeep is a Jade Green Metallic, a more classy upgrade from olive drab and looks simply awesome. The Jeep is straight as an arrow and the paint job is very nice. The Jeep has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as an western car should be. The bottom of the tub, as well as wheel wells are painted green just like the top. The rubber seals under the hood and windshield are new. Every nut, and bolt was removed before paint, cleaned painted correctly then re-installed. The meticulous level of the restoration is obvious when walking around this CJ. The underside was also nicely redone and all suspension, axles, and floors were nicely sprayed with semi-gloss black.

The engine is frozen.
“For sale is a late 40s CJ2 or CJ3 Willys jeep,
Has steel hardtop and doors.
It was in running condition before i bought it,
When i picked it up i found the pistons were locked up, i pulled the motor, and tore into it.
Has a 6 volt system, somebody put heater hoses through the firewall right where the vin tag use to sit.
I do not have any papers on this one, it can be brought to a DMV for a level 2 inspection , they will get the vin # off of the frame and give you a title.
I have to many vehicles and not enough time.
For $200. I have a Lhead, motor that turns freely, might need a ring job.
The jeep will come will all the parts to make it run,(everything attached to the motor).”

“1947 CJ2A Jeep Willys for sale. Has Chevy 283, new transmission, rebuilt transfer case, Warn overdrive (for highway driving), new rear main, new oil pan gasket, turned the flywheel, new clutch kit, new fork arm, new U joints, new front wheel cylinders, new rims, rear tire/gas can holder, full roll cage, tow bar. Have new windshield gasket and speedometer cable also. $4200 o.b.o. or may trade for another jeep.”
