About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(06/24/2015) Some daylight pics would be a little more helpful 🙂

(10/24/2014) “Must see in person to truly appreciate ( I know everyone says that but I’m serious), color is not as overwhelming, and this jeep really is sweet.
Up for auction a 1947 Willys CJ2A flat fender, extremely nice!! Color fits this jeep perfectly… Restoration completed about 3 years ago with only 500 miles since restoration. 95% of this jeep is new, from the engine and transmission to the rear axle spindles and bearings and gears of the rear end with all receipts to prove it. Even minor components such as cowl weatherstripping and fuel tank neck grommets have been replaced… Outside of the dana 18 transfer case and front axle, and front drive shaft, pretty much everything else has been replaced with new upgraded components!!! Truck is powered by a 300hp 350 Chevy Crate engine. Edelbrock endurashine top half with dual 500cfm edelbrock thunder series carbs, RPM Air Gap Intake, MSD pro billet dizzy, Novak built sm420 tranny 4 spd with super low drive shaft breaking 1st gear, dana 18 twin stick transfer case, patriot tight tuck headers, 22×19 Aluminum racing radiator (with both mechanical and electrcial fans), Currie Axles, Currie Built Ford 9″ rear end with 4.11 gears, Saginaw High Steer Steering box, NEW 33inch tires, 3 inch lift, custom interior, custom built heavy duty rear drive shaft, Rhino lined gloss black bed, powder coated bumpers, winshield frame, and roll bar, base coat/clear coat paint. Jeep can be driven on highway w/o any problems…

“For sale by owner is a 1948 Willys CJ-2A in Harvest Tan with Sunset Red wheels. Meticulously restored three years ago back to as close to factory specs as possible. My fun with this beauty is over and it has been sitting covered in my warehouse for several years. Except for the occasional car show or parade I don’t get it out much. The original L-head 134 cubic inch engine has plenty of power. Original 3-speed Warner T-90 transmission was rebuilt and rock-solid Dana 18 transfer case is flawless. No internal engine work was performed as each cylinder had compression between 105-109 psi. Carter carburetor overhauled by a professional using an authentic kit and parts.
The engine has been swapped over to 12VDC but still uses a generator. Factory oil-bath air cleaner, engine oil filter/canister. Includes the optional factory Jeep grill/radiator brush guard. The driver’s side vacuum driven windshield wiper motor works as it should. New wiper arms, frames and blades. All lighting is as it was from the factory including the hard-to-find glass front marker lights. The radiator was removed, cleaned, tested and reinstalled. A complete new wiring harness was purchased from Walck’s 4WD and installed. The harness wiring is loomed to factory colors. The only non-factory item installed in engine bay is a Harbor Freight oooga horn I wanted. However, it is mounted using the original horn mounting bracket in the original horn mounting holes in the fender.
Could be a good buy, but bring a 6 volt batter with you to test the engine.
“This is one of several vehicles I am getting rid of. Too old and too tired to tackle all the projects I have and the better half is adamant I thin the herd. 1948 model CJ2A with a soft top. It’s all there and it runs fine. It is still 6v but needs a battery (I have the one that was in it when I parked it but it has gone dead since). Some idiot welded a small diameter 70’s steering wheel to the steering shaft, but I have an original wheel and shaft to replace it.
“For sale is a very complete and very restoreable 48 cj2a. I bought this as a project to hopefully do with some local youngsters as their first project, but it seems that interests have changed and they are not interested in it any more . . . This jeep is a fantastic restoration candidate because of how complete it is. Original engine and running gear, and many of the parts that are usually gone are still here. Engine does not run. PO removed the head and reported a stuck valve . . . so I would count on doing some engine work . . . it does turn over freely, so I would guess just minor work needed. Transmission and transfer case shift fine. It was “barn kept” for many many years and, although there is rust thru in the usual spots, it is much, much better then most I have seen and at a much better starting point then the one I restored . . . . if you are looking for an early jeep project, then this is definitely one to look at . . . . I am not interested in low ballers or scams, I know that I can easily net my asking price by parting it out, and am perfectly willing and able to do that . . . but if someone whats to take it all at once to fix it up, then that’s my preference!!”
“46 willys jeep. original motor does not run, but I have a running MUTT motor I was going to put in it for a deer lease vehicle. Also have some odd and ends parts to go with it. The original flat head four banger goes with it to. The windshield is off of a cj3a. The 46 is a cj2a..”
(04/25/2015) Can you blame the seller for pricing it at a value that someone appraised it at? Hard to figure out how an appraiser could have arrived at such a price.
“Full frame off restoration rebuilt motor new transmission rebuilt transfercase very clean appraised at 22,500 but will move a little with cash call or text for more info has a title”
(07/16/2015) This VEC is rough, but early. Still runs.
