About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Lubie is selling his 1947 CJ-2A. It’s got a clear title. Email him at lmartintwo @ hotmail.com (remove the spaces around the @ sign).

Please look at ALL pictures to see exactly how rust free this is frame and body. Only rust spot found is under passenger floor brace – see photos. Story is truck was bought in 1946 used until 1957 then put away. Someone put a 12volt alternator on it and new tires years ago. I have brand new master cyl and 4 wheel cyl. Correct generator. New carb, new fuel pump and misc other items. Cranks over and has compression, should be easy to get running. Do not have title – I will provide bill of sale. Located in Zimmerman MN 55398”

“1948 Willys CJ2A. Has a 1946 grill. Generally an original and unaltered original Willys jeep. No engine or transmission. Steers good. Rolls good. A good starting point for an original restoration or installing an updated engine. Frame seems to be in good condition. Engine mounts have not been altered or cut. Frame has not been cut. Body is descent but like most of these old jeep bodies, it has issues. Would make a really great hunting, trail, or farm jeep. Bring your trailer and come take a look. Jeep has a title and will also provide a bill of sale. Call Dan for details. forseven9 3to3 7zero39. Land line, no texts. If no answer, leave message and I will call you back.”

This Willys was completely rebuilt by Korean War vet, I bought from family estate in 2014. I do not use it anymore, I have 2 more jeeps and 4×4 truck. Great for hunting, playing in mud, parades, etc. Don’t low ball me I don’t need to sell, just want to find good new home for it.
Tom shared this flattie for sale. This looks to be a DJ-3A Convertible body on a CJ chassis (probably 2A based on the engine and radiator). I’m betting the gas inlet on the driver’s side is a mod.
“Have 1947 with title Tub had plate on saying 1954 took off to check and lost them in house remodeling . Did lots of work on it 11 years ago , new wiring , water pump, head gasket was leaking ( shaved head .015), fuel/water separator, new brakes and master cylinder, new muffler and homemade Bimini top. Always smoked and not a lot of power, but plowed snow good. Daughter was driving it about 6 years ago and she said it started smoking and nocking and would not run right. Been sitting in garage. Since. Don’t have time to rebuild flat head motor or the cash right now. Block is in good shape. I installed large bumper and boxed front of frame for snow plow, have original bumper. Added Reece hitch. It has PTO hook up but they never put leaver through floor. Decided need 24’ enclosed trailer instead….lol Have extra springs and steering linkage Did compression test 55,57,72 & 75 starting on #1 . Askin $2200 obo if anyone is interest”
Listed as a 1947, this looks to be a column shift VEC CJ-2A.
“For sale is a 1947 Jeep Willys CJ2A. I believe this is a civilian Jeep. It has been owned by the same gentleman since 1989. He was a local guy in Marina, CA. This was his hunting rig that he drove for years. It ended up sitting for sometime as he got too old to drive it. But it is an original CA black plated car that has its clean title. Since we got the jeep we did a number of different things. It has an all new carburetor, rebuilt starter, new plugs, new points. We replaced the timing chain and a few other little things. Currently it is running and driving pretty well! It still obviously needs to be gone through some more but currently it will run and drive down the road, shift through all its gears well, has a working overdrive and even the old Koenig PTO winch is working perfectly. The tires are in great shape. The brakes I worked on a little bit, but it will need additional work. Working E-Brake and working lights! This jeep is solid all around and has very minimal rust.”

UPDATE: I’ve been asked if this is a Worman MFG cab ,from my understanding wormans were the first aluminum Willys Factory contracted. Please click link below for explanation on this cab
Like most steel aftermarket hard tops, the Willys halfcab was much too heavy to casually remove and re-install, so many of these impressive half cabs have been scrapped, making this a rare and very desirable hard top.

Has some mods and a Ford Pinto engine, though I don’t believe the company ever made a 2.4L for the Pinto. Interesting enough, there were multiple distinct versions of the 1.6L and 2.0L (this info on Pinto engines was an interesting read).
“The body is in nice shape for a 76 year old vehicle. The engine has been replaced with a 2.4L from a Ford Pinto. It has a Warn overdrive on it. The carb needs some work but it does start. 2 sets of tires and both need replaced. Has soft doors and top that are in fair condition. Has title. Trades considered for vintage cars as long as they have 2 doors.”
Give the data plate serial number of 29621, I thought this might be a VEC CJ-2A chassis with an M-38 body. However, note the grille and front crossmember seem set up for a grille mounted radiator, rather than a front member mounted radiator. But, it is definitely CJ (not M-38) chassis. This doesn’t run.
“Here I have a 1947 Willy’s jeep that I believe to be the military version. It is almost complete with not to bad of rust. Motor is NOT locked up and spins freely. The radiator is missing, I do have the headlight that is missing in the pictures. I can take better pictures for more serious people. I am currently only looking to trade for a good 4 wheeler or possibly a pickup, classic VW, throw me a offer.Does have a clean title”
