UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2850.
This might be a nice rig. It includes an overdrive.
“I’m will let this go at a reasonable offer I do not need it. I got it from my step brother a while back (long story) anyway, it was in Idaho. I haven’t figured out everything that it has yet but this is what I know, 289 rebuilt engine out of a 64’ Ford Mustang, RV cam, Cobra intake and valve covers, headers 4 sp with and 3 stick T-case, one is the warn overdrive, possi front and rear, 44 rear axle, 25 front axle. I have the windshield and will be installing it this weekend. I can send more pictures if needed.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900
“Was my Grandpa’s Jeep and passed down to me. It has been stored outside without running for the past 10+ years, but did run prior to that. Need to sell so make an offer! Great parts car or project.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
The work so far looks good, but needs a new body.
“1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A Model. We are the 3rd owner and have owned for approx. 2 years now. Previous owner had it for 50+ years. It was told to us that it had approx. 38000 miles on it. Have in hand Clean and Clear Title. My father bought this jeep to restore as a project and has lost interest in it. It is approx. 50% or more unassembled and have approx 95% or more of all original parts. Motor does run great. It does need a new body tub due to the original being to badly rusted. We have original tub with all ID plates still attached. Also have service manual and pics prior to restoration. Any other questions please email me and I can get my father to contact you because he knows more about this than I. Buyer to pay for/set-up transportation/shipping of this vehicle from San Tan Valley, AZ 85140. We will deliver for free to anyone within 100 miles of Phoenix, AZ.”
This body might be rough, but it looks like there’s some value.
“this is a great jeep cj2 motor free will run barn fine frame is solid call me at 773-269-1382.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
(04/24/2011) It’s a project.
“I have an Authentic Willy’s Jeep CJ2-A from 1946. We have the windshield frame, pto, two newly restored seats, Willy’s stamped hood, the body, along with five military tires. The engine was stamped by Willy’s and is a flat-head four cylinder. The front fenders are in great shape and one has a hood latch. These parts are all hard to find and could help to restore a CJ you may be working on. I am listing it because I need the room in my garage and I do not have the time to restore it. I have more pictures of it and I would like $2,000 or best offer. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3800
(04/28/2011) This has seen some updates.
“This is a 1949 Willys Jeep with a MASSIVE 283 cubic inch engine! It is a 4×4. It starts, runs and drives.”
There might be some value here.
“1947 Willy’s Jeep for Sale. A great restoration project for the right person. Needs complete restore, but must see to appreciate. Call Julie at 714-496-7076”
I suspect the VIN on this is just under 30,000? I’m a little surprised that both the dataplates and the vin plates are missing. I also think those are the ford rims that don’t have the proper center size.
“This Jeep is truly a barn find. The body is in great condition and the chassis needs building. Theres only minimal rust but the engine is probably locked up. The transmission shifts and it does roll. I bought it to put the body on a chassis that I had rebuilt. This Jeep has the rare column shift that shifts fine. Floorboards are good, frame is good but it just needs alot of attention. I just dont have time to finish my project. Title in hand. Been in a barn all its life till I bought it. Its been in a warehouse since.”
