“This Willy’s CJ-2A was sold new on April 5th 1949 by West Motor Company, Steubenville, Ohio to the Wheeling Steel Corporation plant also in Steubenville. It was put to use by inside the plant and was outfitted by Howe with a hose reel. Its second life was with the Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Dept. They removed the reel and installed an 80-gallon water tank and was used as a brush truck. The third owner acquired it in 2005 and treated this Willys to a restoration. The tank was removed and restored to how you see it photographed, back to an inside plant, pumper Fire Truck. Lot’s of era correct parts we sourced and now this Willys is loaded from bumper to bumper with firefighting equipment. “Next Day Fire Department” is sure to be a hit anywhere it is driven or displayed.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7300.
Has a few updates. Look solid.

“I hate to do it, but it’s time. A collectors dream! A 1948 Willy’s CJ2A Fully Restored. The wife says it’s time to make room in the garage for a new vehicle we purchased. Have title in hand and the Jeep has been registered every year since 2003. The Willy’s has been garage kept. It was a frame off restoration starting back in 2003. All metal floor boards and body panels are completely free of any rust. The Engine was rebuilt by a professional Willy’s mechanic in 2006.
Most all gauges have been replaced or restored. Brakes, tires, and interior all in great shape. No tears in the seats. Interior fully spray lined. For a 72 year old vehicle this thing is in Amazing condition! I’m very meticulous with my stuff to say the least. 4WD works Great! This Willy’s was originally discovered in a barn in Wyoming. Odometer says 5,391 but only 3000 miles on rebuilt engine. Runs great-starts up with one click- a Real Head Turner for sure! No low ball offers”
Has a few mods. It’s listed as a 1942.

“Hazzard Fabworx of Spokane has reworked the suspension, power steering, changed out all the fluids, battery, serviced the diffs/transmission/transfer case/overdrive, swapped in disc brakes all around (‘94 Geo Tracker) and installed lap seat belts. It has an “odd fire” V6 motor, Dana 30 front/Dana 44 rear both with 4.27 gears, T90 3-speed transmission, Dana 18 transfer case and a Warn overdrive.
I will say the original overdrive was a Warn but the owner before me had it rebuilt by Herm The Overdrive Guy in Washington, so it’s physically a Husky case now. It also has a Warn 4500 lb winch mounted on the front. The odometer reads 30k and change. The thing still runs and drives great. It doesn’t burn oil and still has the original VIN plate. The story I got when I bought it was that it was a forestry service jeep in Oregon, hence the decals.”
It is $5000 for both or $3000/each.
