Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I cant express enough about that!!??? VERRY powerful v-8. Climbs anything. New seats, tires and shocks. I believe it has a corvette motor. Tow bars, hitches and roll bar. Little rust. With hood.”

(03/08/2015) Runs, but doesn’t drive.
“We have a pretty good condition Willys Flat Fender. It already has been converted to a Chevy V-8. It has a 1956 Corvette engine in it that sounds good. You can hear it run but it does not drive. It does need a full restoration. I will part out if someone just wants the jeep or just the engine.”

“Up for sale today are 3 1940’s vintage willy jeep cj2as. Two are complete, one is taken apart, but is all there. The green one runs and drives probably needs a tune up, gas tank has been lined and fuel system flushed has tow bar used behind motor home very good body, frame excellent. Red one; clutch is bad other than that it is good, body solid some rust frame excellent. Third one is in pieces and we have all of the parts solid drive train, frame. All go devil four cylinder engines. Thanks for your interest. I believe we have at least one title.”

“It does not run, the tires are flat, needs electrical work, a paint job… the works. I believe I was informed that the serial numbers match, however. This was given to me as a wedding present by my ex-fiance and I know practically nothing about it. $3k OBO, cash only on pick up.”

I suspect this is a body replacement put on a 1948 chassis.

Runs, but has clutch problem.
“1947 Jeep Willys CJ2A has Ford inline 6 cylinder that runs great. Transmission and transfer case seems to work good. Leaks though. There is just something wrong with the clutch and I’m sure it would drive. Will not drive currently. Good BFG tires. Needs total restoration. Very rusty and rough. Comes with aluminum half cab with doors and tow bar. Bill of sale only. No title. Would make a great flat fender jeep though. $1200 or will consider trades”
