“ picked up this 1961 Willys FC170 truck in December to use the cab for a custom “Patina Rod” project I’m working on (build thread here: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/jeep-non-hardcore/1558953-jeep-fc170-patina-rod-mutt.html). I have since bought — as a “package deal” — several FC150s and FC170s, and will be using one of those for my project instead.
I do *not* have a title for this truck. The cab is rough, but has GREAT patina and vintage/retro “Dan’s Snowplowing” graphics (the truck had been parked in the St. Ignace area for decades, it appears). The closed-knuckle Dana 44 front and Dana 53 rear axles are locked up (brake drums, I’m certain), and the frame is thin in some areas. This is most likely a “parts truck” more so than a “restore candidate”. That being said, the cab could be fixed by someone with the right skills.
The glass is all in-tact, with the exception of the driver window being cracked. The (rare) windshield is in-tact, but has some scratches from the wiper arms, and a small stone chip (I believe a local glass place could repair both). There are only one or two companies in the U.S. that offer windshields (about $480 shipped). Both door windows roll up & down well.
The engine, transmission & transfer case are still in the vehicle, but haven’t run for years…condition is unknown.
Buy this whole rare Jeep for $600, or make an offer on parts (I’d prefer to sell complete). I will have several other FC parts/vehicles available very soon.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000.
This has a dump bed and a rear PTO winch.

“FC-150 Jeep 1962 Forward Control Jeep Pickup. This is a very rare great shape restorable vehicle! Original Hurricane F134 overhead 4 cylinder gas engine, three speed transmission, transfer case, Dana 44 axles
Drove it around in high and low case about 2 years ago. The drive train worked great but the engine needs some work.
The body is mostly rust free except typical cab corners, etc. Removed vinyl trim around inside windshield corners, some typical rust. Windshield and door windows glass cracked. Extra parts – front bumper – drivers door – etc. The fan ran into the radiator and needs fixed.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $15,000
(04/26/2014) Looks like a nice restoration.
“1962 Jeep FC 170 with a frame off restoration and an original 226 Super Hurricane Flathead that has been rebuilt. Asking $15,000.00 or trade for a nice Toy Hauler Camper. Serious inquiries only!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000
(05/14/2014) Hasn’t run in a while.
“Classic Jeep, needs restoration. Restoration had been started many years ago, but hasn’t been worked on for sometime. I am unsure if the transmission or engine was previously worked on. See pictures. These are pretty rare jeeps, I am selling because I don’t have the time or space to restore it. Email if interested. We have equipment on site, will need to be loaded onto trailer for transport. Clear Michigan Title.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** No price was listed.

Runs, but needs some work.
“!!! VERY RARE 1961 JEEP WILLYS FC150 4×4!!! Great Project for any TRUE JEEP Lover. This is a 1961 Jeep Willys FC150 4×4. This is a flat nosied jeep that was used mostly up North and not in the Florida area. You would have a very hard time finding this truck in Florida. I bought it from the original owner and had to have it shipped from South Carolina. This is a great truck which turns heads every time I open the Garage. Truck RUNS but needs body work, good solid wood bed. I bought the truck to restore it but have not had the time to put into it. This would be a great Ratrod Truck or restoration project. If you are looking for that one of a kind truck that everyone asks “What Is That” this is the one.”
