This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “It’s a 1954 Willys Army Jeep – M38A1.
Converted to 12 volt, heater added,
but rest of vehicle is authentic military.
Needs flat panel sheet metal work.
NO spare, NO title.
Got a front bumper, got a folding windshield.
Have a parts jeep, 1961 CJ-5
working on getting these parts and a title.
Will trade for other vehicles.
Consideration to veterans and veteran organizations.”
2. CJ-5:

I’ll be stripping a 1961 CJ-5 Jeep tomorrow.
This Jeep had a snow plow, so the plow frame and the
hydraulics will be for sale.
The sheet metal, 2 front fenders, axles and frames will
be available.
think there are 3 extra rims and tires.
Buy the frame with trans, transfer case and axles for cheap.
Build your own rock crawler or off road ride.
Highschool shop class, Boy Scout troop project.

some civi mods, military lights removed, military trailer plug removed, lock out hubs on the front, key start.
Runs and drives strong, super nice jeep, need a little TLC from sitting for 4 years, i.e. carby overhaul, and fuel tank leak”

“This is a fairly stock jeep . Some changes were made to the charging system and lights. I have most of the original items that were removed . Data plates are still on it . This jeep has no rust .This jeep is registered and drives fine . Would be perfect for a full military restoration or to just cruise town .It also has a roll bar and tow bar .”

“for sale is an all original, no rust, no restoration 1953 m38a1. This is the C model that was built for the large recoiless gun. Has slotted windshield and heavy suspension. Started out as civil defense jeep for Clinton, IA. ended up being stored for years in basement of Savanna Army Hospital. It is street legal with new front leaf springs, brakes, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and new tires. It also has a 6′ western plow with it. The mounting hardware for the plow is made so that it bolts to the jeep using existing threaded holes in the frame, as not to alter the frame in any way.”
