Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Runs and drives strong, super nice jeep, need a little TLC from sitting for 4 years, i.e. carby overhaul, and fuel tank leak

“This jeep, for the year, is very clean and needs an owner that is not afraid of a little project. Everything in the pictures are included except for the exhaust wrap. The jeep must go, no low balls, clean title in hand, 2500 or best offer!

Stock Chevy 350 four bolt main brand new
Muncie Rock Crusher 4 speed
T18 Big tooth
No drive shaft
Dana 44 rear diff fully locked with tapered axle
Dana 27 ten spline axle
Lockers in the rear
10″ rear drum breaks
11″ front drum breaks
Brand new wheel bearings
Stock hubs
No steering box or column
Windshield in excellent condition
20 gallon fuel tank as well as original 10 gallon included
Diamond plate rear wrap and gas tank shield
No exhaust
Frame is boxed in and body is in good/excellent condition
Will need new tires (holds air for about 24 hours)

UPDATE: Price dropped to $1995.
Engine ran when stored. Seller has the A1s confused with the M-38s. Ford only produced 2,135 M-38s in Canada. Ford produced many more M-38A1s in three lots through 1971: M-38A1 CDN, M-38A1 CDN2, M-38A1 CDN3.
“1953 Willy M38A1 CDN military jeep. This jeep is very rare, only 2,135 A1’s made by Ford Motor Company in Canada. This jeep needs some work, but when your done it will diffidently be a show stopper and collectors dream come true. The engine ran before it was last parked in storage. Still have the data plate attached showing serial number. Only serious buyer and price is firm.”

Seems to be sitting a little heavy in the front, but that could be the way it’s parked. It’s not been restored to stock specs (brake lights and front parking lights for example), but it looks perfect for a parade or having fun.
“1962 M38A1 Willys Jeep with less than 30,000 original miles. Recently restored to good condition and has authentic numbering system consistent with military issued numbering. New paint, seats, tires. Body is in good condition with little rust. Road ready and runs great. Needs minor work to parking brake; only thing not restored.”

brakes have been done. engine turned on once with fuel down the carb…no trades and not looking to lose on my investment.clear title.
Fuel tank cleaned and recoated. Radiator also clean and repaired.

“For sale is a 1952 former USMC Willys M38A1 Jeep. This Jeep was, until last year, used at a deer hunting ranch behind Mt. Hamilton for the last 40 years. It was painted in orange until last fall when I put it back in olive drab. It has the correct Hurricane 4 cylinder engine and runs fine. I tuned it up and replaced the exhaust manifold. The seats are new, as is the glass, tires, rims, turn signals, tail lights and bikini top. The body isn’t perfect, but what do you want for a 62 year old veteran?! All gauges, except the speedometer work. She ain’t fast but is a hoot driving around town with the windshield down. Perfect for a weekend ride or ranch property. $6500″

(05/23/2013) “Up for sale is an all original, RUNNING and DRIVING M38A1 Willys Military Jeep with an M100 trailer. This 1953 in patina is an unmolested vehicle and EVERYTHING works. Comes complete with a BRAND NEW TOP. Additionally I have the original doors and side curtains; 24 volt system with newer batteries. The M100 trailer rolls perfectly and comes with its own canvas coverage. Both vehicles have all original data plates still mounted, a ton of documentation. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY PERFECT SET!!!”
