1941? Flattie Pacific Beach, Ca $4800

The fact that this body has a drain hole by the step, but no gas inlet is a little puzzling.  It has full floaters in the rear, but also has a tail gate.  The windshield is CJ-2A. The hood and fenders are civilian, while the grille is ww2.  This appears to be a mutt of a jeep to me.

It is a very cool ride to have. Had it sitting for a few years in storage( inside)
It has an electric fuel pump but still has all original equipment too.
Runs good and needs to be registered if you plan on driving on the street…
It has the original Tire setup also….. a true piece of history you can drive and show off.
Paint is worn a bit but virtually no rust….
Ive posted pics for you to see, havent even washed it ! lol It has a TOW bar so you can pull behind RV or Truck…
Needs a battery and thats all !

I’m curious to know if the plaque from 1954 on the dash reflects a motor pool upgrade.

“Original 1943 Military Jeep/ Willys Has all old equipment. Plaques on dash show origin and second plaque shows military update in 1954 to overhead carb. Hood has square box they made to accommodate it. Good tires, upholstery, engine, tranny and brakes all professionally gone over. Needs gas pump.”

(10/04/2011) Sounds like it has plenty of power.  It could really use the back cage braces though (for my taste anyway).

The front clip includes some CJ-3A Parts.  The front crossmember suggests this might be a GPW rather than a MB.

(01/15/2012) The body has the Willys Script and appears in good condition. This might be a pre glovebox body!

Jim forwarded me the following images he took of the MBs at the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, Az.

Jim writes, “The 390th Bomb Group Museum has a B-17 flying fortress on display, a long with a MB that has been restored and donated to the museum. It needs a fuel tank flush, new radiator hoses, and I bet a carb rebuild. I hope to assist them on this the next time I make it home. There is also a MB on display in another hanger that is part of a display dedicated to the Red Tails fighter group. I am sending a few pics of them. They have one of the largest aircraft display’s around!”

Looks like some value here.

“This jeep is a project but it is complete as it sits. It has a seized up motor and tranny. Body is complete, fenders hood, bumpers, steering wheel, pedals, two grills(one original and one newer crome one), shocks, leafs, rollbar, ect.. even has a soft top that will come with it.
The only missing things as far as I can see is the floorboard and the windshield.
My dad has had this jeep for 20+ years and lost the title, call/ text for more info on that. But if you wanna make a trailer rig out of it, then it doesn’t matter.
Asking 1000 or best offer. Give me an offer and I just might take it.
