Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Plow yourself out in style. 1953 Willys pickup with hydraulic snowplow operated off engine. F134, 4×4, 3sp trans. Runs and drives great. Handled yesterday’s 10″ of snow on my 400′ of driveway just fine.
Body has a couple welds and dings but overall is very solid. Good candidate for restore or just use as is around the house, farm, or town.”

“Pick up 53 Willies Body in good conditon, but needs paint. Needs radiator and front axle, but runs on rear axle. Tires are fair. Has not been registered or driven since 2003. Have pink slip”
Robin just brought home a 1951 truck from Wyoming. Accompanying his new purchase is the plate shown below. Was this a plate used on exported trucks? Neither Robin nor I remember seeing a plate quite like this. My google searches yielded nothing.

The bumper could use replacing, but this pic hints that this might be in decent shape.
“This is a 1956 4 wheel drive Willys pick up. I believe it’s all original including the 134 CID 6CYL and Borg Warner transmission. It was a running truck when I bought it as a project 2 years ago. It has since been started a few times but has not been run in about 6-8 months. Will require a tune up to be road ready again.
