About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Mike shared this wagon. This could be worth a look.
“This is a diamond of an antique auto, barn find original owner kept it in a heated garage.for most of its life, has all maintenance records n original title n owners manual.selling locally also so listing can end anytime unless bid is made.classic time piece.”
UPDATE: Terry pointed out that this same vehicle, a SPEN self-sustaining motion picture unit, appears in a Willys Industrial Equipment book brochure. Here it is below:
Talk about a rare jeep. Anyone ever seen one of these (if there are any left). It’s a specially outfitted jeep for the State Department for carrying the story of America to the world. The first pics below were from a September 1949 issue of Popular Science, while the newspaper article was carried in the Sunday Star on Sunday, April 17, 1949.
Matt shared a link to this auction that includes a wagon, a truck, and a CJ-2A, along with a several belt driven saws.

“Im selling this beautiful Kia Red Metallic 1949 jeep Willys Overland wagon. It is a great running Willys with everything gone over, replaced, or adjusted this year (2018) with over $7000 in receipts! New speedometer cable, Oil pump and oil lines, Arm rests, door panels, All new fluids, etc. etc. Upgraded to a 12 volt system with under dash fuse box. All new glass and rubber seals, Window channel felt and weather seals. Triple gauge set installed. All paperwork, documents, receipts, and in work photographs will be included as a vehicle history record. A wonderful turnkey driving car.Three on the tree original shift. Original Hurricane flat 4 cylinder engine. The inside has not been redone as that is for the new owner’s thoughts to decide upon. Modified original window wagon. This Willys is not perfect, but for a 1949 vehicle, it is pretty darn nice.”
